DC Monuments

Here are a few more pics of Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and the new MLK Memorial on the Mall. The highlight of our trip for the boys?....the ice cream of course! One boy who doesn't like to get messy (Landon) and the other boy who doesn't know any other way (Gavin). Gavin just kept saying MESS! with a big grin on his face ;)

Cherry Blossoms!

Last Friday we met up with Ryan after work in DC to go check out the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin. The weather was perfect and the trees were beautiful! This was our first spring back in DC in several years so it was good to see this again!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Here are some pics of our St. Patrick's Day activities this weekend.

On Friday Landon and I made a couple of leprechauns for him and Gavin to play with. They thought they were pretty cute ;)



On Saturday morning Landon found a note under his bed from a leprechaun. It led him on a scavenger hunt through the house to find the pots of gold he left for him and Gavin.

The last clue brought them to the kitchen table where they found their treasure! (Chocolate gold coins, a new Thomas train and shamrock cinnamon rolls! Landon LOVED this activity and was squealing and jumping up and down when he found each of the clues.

Playground Time

The weather has been perfect here and the boys have been enjoying lots of outside time. Landon loves going to the playground and is always making new friends. Gavin's favorite part is playing in the dirt, stones and sticks. They both enjoyed having a picnic lunch at the park! Looking forward to more fun days like this ahead!

Spring has Sprung!!

We love the days that we can get outside to play! This morning the boys tested out their new bubble tub in the spring sunshine. Then I surprised them with bunny sandwiches that they both got a kick out of :)

Cousins Visit!

The boys had a visit and sleepover with their cousins this past weekend at our house. All of the kids had a great time playing together. We all went out for Thai food for dinner (one of Landon's favorites-chicken satay and white rice) and watched a movie with popcorn at home. It was a great visit!
