Our Little Monkeys!!

Here are some of the latest pics of the boys. Gavin is enjoying practicing his rolling skills every chance he can and he is also working on his thumb-sucking skills as well. In the last couple of days he has been able to get a hold of it pretty well. Looks like both of our boys are going to be thumb suckers! Neither of them wanted anything to do with a pacifier. The thumb is nice because they always have it and it helps soothe them...but the problem in the long run is that they always have it and you can't take it away ;) Oh well, we will just hope they stop on their own when they are a bit older-fingers crossed!

We got a roller!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a big day for our little Gavin...he rolled over from his back to his belly!! By tonight he was getting so good at it he wouldn't stay on his back at all! He loved practicing his new skill. He is also laughing and giggling a lot more. He especially likes to giggle when we bounce him up and down, do row row row your boat, and when we zipper up his sleeper! Love to hear those giggles ;)

Our little dudes...

It has been a busy week of playdates and playground time. Landon is trying to soak up a lot of time with his best buddy Sam who is moving back to DC next month. Landon is back to his regular good sleeping habits again after we finally got our crib tent in the mail. He no longer can get out of his crib and is back to sleeping through the night again. It appears he just wasn't ready to be out of the crib yet and the tent makes sure he can't climb out and hurt himself. So it is all good again, for now;)

Here are some pics of us just from the week and hanging out. Gavin is outgrowing his clothes so fast I usually put him in outfit and make sure I get a picture because I know he won't be able to wear it twice. That is the problem with just too many cute clothes!! He is also moving into size 3 diapers this week already. It is crazy how fast he is growing!!

Grandparent Fun!!

Well Landon and Gavin sure had a great time with Grandma & Grandpa Russell while they were visiting. Here are a couple of pics of the boys hanging out with the grandparents before they left to head back home. Landon sure misses his choo-choo playing partners and Gavin misses all of the holding (while standing up only of course!)

Gavin James is 2 months old!

Here are some pics of our little man Gavin. He is changing so fast and getting bigger and bigger everyday. We just took him in for his immunizations today (I hate doing those...it is so traumatic for baby and parents!) and he weighed 13lbs. 15oz. He is catching up fast to Landon who tips the scales at 26lbs. At two months we are almost about ready to pack away the 3 month clothes as they are getting a bit snug. Hoping to last a couple more weeks as I have soooo many cute outfits he hasn't worn yet!

Birthday Party!

We had Landon's birthday party on Saturday and invited some of his friends over to celebrate with some cake and ice cream. Of course this year's theme had to be Thomas the Tank Engine and Landon was sooooo excited to see his cake! His excitement totally made it worth the effort to try to figure out how to make it!! He also loved being sung to as you can see from his smile down below when we finished his happy birthday song. Needless to say he was still running in circles (literally) long after the party was over from all of the excitement and sugar! It was a fun day and we enjoyed watching him have a great time with his friends.

Happy 2nd Birthday Landon!!

Here are some pics of Landon's actual birthday on July 22nd. We spent a fun day at the indoor playground (Vizz) which he loves in downtown Frankfurt. (It was a yucky day outside.) Then we had a yummy pizza lunch while we were out. That evening we had pesto pasta for dinner (one of Landon's favorites) and cheesecake for dessert. Then of course the present opening fun afterwards.

On a side note: Landon decided the day before his birthday that he was going to climb out of his crib out of the blue. We even lowered it all the way to the floor to try to keep him in it but he still managed to get out. I guess once he realized that he could do it he wouldn't stop until he could get out. So since it was getting dangerous we changed it to a toddler bed. The only problem now is he is getting up a few times a night. (more than Gavin! Ugh!!) So we will see how he adjusts, but since he is still so little we may switch back to the crib with a crib tent if he doesn't get used to it soon. Will update later...
