Grandma & Grandpa Cacka Visit

Grandma & Grandpa Cacka came down to visit us the week before Christmas and the boys had a great time! Lots of cookie making, eating lunch out, playing trains/legos, and reading books!

Gingerbread House and Cookies Galore!

We had a lot of fun baking the entire week before Christmas at our house! Landon was such a great helper in the kitchen and Gavin enjoyed being our little taste tester. Anytime he entered the kitchen he would yell "Cook Cook!!" meaning cookie now please ;)

Preschool Christmas Program

Landon did a great job today at his preschool's Christmas Program. It was titled "All God's Creatures Sing at Christmas" and Landon was dressed up like a puppy. He was excited to see us in the audience and was especially happy to see Gavin...He kept saying Hey Gavvy, look at me! when he first came in. Gavin was entertained but he was also busy devouring his lollipop that was given to him. Here are a few pics:

MOM's Club Xmas Party

We took the boy's to the MOM's Club Xmas Party last night and they had a blast! (This is the Club that I belong to that the boy's have playgroups through and other activities.) One of the Dads was nice enough to dress up as Santa and surprisingly both of the boys liked him and there were no tears!! As you can see from the picture Landon is very serious about telling Santa what he wants for Christmas (a big Mater with a long hook so that he can pull Lightening McQueen) Santa then gave him a present and it was Gavin's turn. Gavin went right to him and kept saying Ho Ho Ho ;) After he got his present he kept trying to run back to Santa and saying Ho Ho Ho. Too cute! Not the reaction I expected at all. (Shall we press our luck with a mall Santa???) Well, after opening his present Landon was a bit upset/confused...(all of the kids got books) he was expecting his Mater, afterall that is what he told Santa that he wanted. After explaining that Santa had to go back to his workshop and will deliver presents on Xmas Eve he was ok with that. After that there was lots of dancing, playing, story telling, crafts and cookie decorating. It was a fun night!!

Christmas Tree 2011

Last weekend we headed out to find the perfect Christmas tree. We narrowed it down to three and Landon made the final selection (he changed his mind a few times ;)) They had a good time running around and chasing the roosters at the nursery. The joy of two boys!! They both really enjoyed trimming the tree. Some of their favorite ornaments were the wooden choo-choo trains and the Grinch! Gavin learned the word Santa this week very quickly and now says Ho. Ho. Ho whenever he sees him. Landon LOVES holiday decorations and for the first several days would see them and come give me a hug and say, "That was so sweet of you to decorate." They are both too cute!!

Thanksgiving Weekend at Home

Grandma & PopPop Russell came to our house for Thanksgiving weekend and to share a yummy meal with us! The weather was beautiful and the boys enjoyed the visit so much!
