Sledding

Time to bring out the sleds. Landon couldn't get enough of it. Gavin tried it but preferred to be pulled around slowly.

SNOW!!!

After being disappointed with no snow in DC last winter, the boys were super excited when we got a foot of snow when we were in Slippery Rock over Christmas. They got out and were able to enjoy it for several days while we were there.

Christmas Day in Slippery Rock

After breakfast and some play time with the new toys we hit the road to Slippery Rock to be with the Russell side of our family!

Santa was good to them

Gavin eventually woke up and they both enjoyed checking out all of the goodies they got. The theme of the day was Superheroes. They both got lots of action figures and vehicles. They each got a Transformer as well. Gavin got a workbench and Landon received a climbing Spiderman. Mom and Dad got the boys an art easel and lots of art supplies to play with.

It's Christmas Morning!!!

Well we had to wake up the boys again this morning to get started with opening their presents. I am guessing we don't have too many more Christmases like that, but we will see. After checking out the tree they wanted to see if Santa and his reindeer got their treats. Gavin was even sure to inspect the crumbs left behind :)

Christmas Eve Traditions

After reading Twas the Night Before Christmas and saying bye-bye to their friend Eddie the Elf, the boys helped pick out the cookies to leave for Santa. Here are pics of them leaving the cookies, milk and carrots out.

The kids couldn't wait to dig into the presents! They got lots of fun stuff from their family and of course wanted to play with all of it immediately! It was a fun day for everyone :)
