GOODBYE TO THE BIG APPLE

Landon loves it when his socks are off because he has now discovered how yummy his toes are. Yuck! Mom and Dad had a little fun with him and his mohawk. We spiked it up to get some pics.

We have spent the week here packing as we are moving out of NYC tomorrow and heading to Slippery Rock for the next 2 weeks. We are so excited to stay with Grandma & Grandpa Russell and see a lot of family!! Grandpa Russell is driving up today to help us move so we are hoping that the snow storm that they are forecasting isn't bad. Although I just looked out the window and it has just started to come down. Yikes!! Hope it slows down soon...

VISIT FROM FAMILY

Ryan's cousin Kim and Pat were in NYC last weekend and were able to stop by to meet Landon. Landon enjoyed meeting family and we were glad that we had a chance to catch up with Kim & Pat. We look forward to seeing them again over the holidays and seeing their 3 girls!

CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK

We checked out Rockefeller Center and Fifth Avenue over the weekend as well. Christmas in NYC is a great experience...however the crowds were amazing as you could barely move through them. The tree was beautiful and worth the crowds!!

MUSEUMS

Over the weekend we visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) here in NYC while Grandma & Grandpa Cacka visited. Landon was a great sport while we tried to squeeze in some tourist stuff as our time here is soon ending.

TRIMMING OUR LITTLE TREE

We decorated Landon's first Christmas tree last night. We just have a mini one since we will be moving out of NYC in just 2-1/2 weeks. Landon enjoyed himself and of course wanted to put the tree in his mouth (like everything else!) Afterwards his Dad had him giggling like crazy in his bouncer. He sounds like such a lttle boy when he giggles...we of course love it!! (Note all of the drool on his shirt from dreaming of the tree in his mouth)

LANDON & ELMO

Here is Landon's new chair that he got while we were in Vermont. He loves sitting up!!! Landon has a love-hate relationship with Elmo. He cuddles with him and then it always eventually turns to poor Elmo getting his arms and legs chewed on until Landon tosses him away in frustration...or Mom or Dad take him away until he can regain his composure :)

VERMONT

We had a nice trip to Vermont over the holiday. Landon was able to spend lots of time with Grandma & Grandpa Cacka, Uncle George, Aunt Julie, and cousins Zachary and Madison. We are very thankful that Landon seems to be a good traveler. We hope that keeps up as we have many more trips in the coming weeks!!

OUR LITTLE BOY

Landon enjoys the baby bjorn much better now that he can face out and see the world! It is hard to believe how fast he is growing...

EMPIRE STATE BUILDING

We also went up the Empire State Building. It was a very windy day, but the views were nice.

CENTRAL PARK

We took a walking tour of the city including Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue and Central Park. As you can see, Landon was not too impressed. He has seen it enough times at this point...

REISINGER CLAN VISITS

Uncle George, Aunt Julie and cousins Zachary and Madison came to NYC this past weekend to visit Landon! Landon loved spending time with everyone and going around the city with them.

ROLLING OVER

Landon rolled over on his own as well this week. He did it once and we got it on video. Since then he has been practicing quite a bit. Here are a few photos of today's practice. Part way over he decided to take a break to suck his thumb for a few minutes until he rolled the rest of the way!

EXERSAUCER TIME!

We put together Landon's exersaucer this week. He really loves playing in it and drooling over all of the cool toys! He especially loves the flower with the mirror on it...until it drives him crazy because he can't get it in his mouth.

GRANDMA & GRANDPA RUSSELL VISIT

Grandma & Grandpa came to NYC to visit this weekend. Landon was in heaven with all of the attention and he could not stop smiling and giggling. They just left after Landon went down for his nap...I am sure he will be sad when he wakes up and his grandparents are gone. We can't wait to see them again over the holidays!! (We will have to Skype until then...)

ELECTION NIGHT!

Landon went to an election night party decked out in his red, white and blue! He insisted on staying up to watch the final results so he could celebrate! Thankfully he also slept in the next morning.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Landon was pretty excited to watch the Steelers shortly before game time...but he faded fast and was in bed just before the kickoff.

NYC MARATHON

Jerome was in the city and we got together to check out the NYC marathon on Sunday. It was a great day for the race. We saw the runners as they crossed over into Manhattan on the Queensborough Bridge. Landon enjoyed seeing Jerome again!

HANDMADE SWEATER

Landon received a beautiful handmade sweater from family friend Pam. He enjoyed showing it off around NYC on Sunday!

PITT WINS!

Tom & Jenny visited us on Saturday and brought us good luck in Pitt's win over Notre Dame. It was great to catch up with them. Tom really knows how to get the smiles and giggles out of Landon!
