Gavin is 9 months old!!

Gavin is 9 months old!! He is keeping us on our toes as he is an active little boy. He is now cruising along around the edge of the furniture and also uses his walker as well. He loves to chase the kitties and his brother around the house and his newest favorite snack is cottage cheese with blueberries. He has 6 teeth and is almost 20 lbs. He is also becoming more vocal and he and his brother like to "talk" across the dining table at each other (makes for a quiet mealtime!!)

DINOSAURS!!

Yesterday we headed out to the Natural History Museum in Frankfurt mainly to check out the cool dinosaur bones! Landon had a great time and was so excited to see all of the different kinds of dinosaurs. He especially liked the fake baby triceratops and kept coming back to see him. He would run over and look at him and say "Hi baby! I came back!" He was funny as he kept pointing at everything and announcing what it was and jumping up and down. Needless to say he took a long nap after we got home. He also really liked waiting for the bus with his brother!

Happy V-Day some more!!

These boys sure do like holidays!! I am sure it has nothing to do with all of the yummy treats and presents they get ;) Grandma & Grandpa Russell's package arrived yesterday and they had a ball opening up their gift bags and trying out their cool new hats!

Today Landon had fun staying in and painting with his fingerpaints (he does not like it on his fingers so he uses the brush!)...and building a little fort - he was excited to show it to Gavin when he woke up from his nap!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a fun Valentine's Day here with the boys! Making crafts and cupcakes during the day, taking silly pictures and chasing each other with their heart "antlers" on as Landon called them (thanks Grandma Cacka!), and opening gifts from us and Grandma & Grandpa Cacka. We especially liked the pic of Gavin below as he threw up his arms and squealed after we unwrapped his book. He is becoming quite a character like his brother ;)

Our Gingerbread House!

Well we finally made our gingerbread house...after not getting to it over Christmas we decided to make a special Valentine's Day gingerbread house. When I told Landon what we were going to do today, he jumped up and down and said "I'm so excited!!"

He loved decorating and doing a little bit of taste testing along the way!

Before naptime Landon decided to "read" every book on this shelf...I told him to clean it all up and when I came back from the kitchen this is what I found. He got them all in there!!

Where's my brother?

One of Landon's favorite questions this week...especially now that Gavin is really mobile.

The boys winding down before bedtime...do you think they are brothers?? They both love to cuddle and suck their thumbs when they get sleepy.

Steelers Weekend!!

The Russell family was showing its full support of their Pittsburgh Steelers during the Superbowl weekend. Unfortunately they did not pull out the win but we still had fun cheering for them. I knew it was a bad sign when we asked Landon that day who was going to win the game and he said the Packers. We asked again in a different way to get him to say Steelers and he looked at us and said "Packers I said!!" Oh well, he must have known something we didn't...

Playdoh Fun!!

Here are some random pics from the week. Now that the boys are healthy again we have been back to Music class and playdates again. When we are home in the mornings Landon loves to get out the playdoh during Gavin's morning nap. Gavin is still trying out some new foods and was eating up the mashed tofu yesterday. The bottom pics are the boys getting ready to read their bedtime stories and off to bed for the night.

Gavin sure is enjoying testing out his new skill this past week. He LOVES to pull himself up on everything and is slowly learning the skill of how to get back down gracefully.
