Egg Decorating & Hunt

We also decorated some eggs with the boys (well Landon did while Gavin watched and tried to grab the stuff off the table) Then after their naps we hid the eggs outside and went on a little hunt. Landon has decided in the last month or two that he no longer needs to nap so he usually just "rests" in his room. He actually did fall asleep today though, probably because we told him the Easter Bunny was waiting for him to nap before he can come and hide the eggs! Gavin found one egg but was definitely more interested in sticks, leaves and other debris to put in his mouth. Ugh!

Easter Baskets!

Here are the boys waking up on Easter morning and looking for their baskets from the Easter Bunny! They had a good time checking out their goodies and wearing their bunny ears! As you can see all of our stuff is packed up and on it's way back to the U.S. We leave in just a few more days!!

Easter Bunny!!

Last weekend they had an Easter Egg Hunt at the community building here. The boys had fun looking for eggs with their friends and meeting the Easter Bunny. Landon went over and gave him a high 5 and then promptly told him that his Mommy was right there (as you can see in the pic below). Not quite sure about that bunny...Gavin was a little leary as well - I got my eye on you bunny, don't get too close ;)

Gavin is 11 months old!!!!

Our little guy is 11 months old...it is hard to believe! He has had a busy couple of weeks as he is officially walking (and falling a lot) ;) He took his first string of steps on Tuesday April 12th and has been busy practicing since then. He loves to do it and does the funniest snorty breathy noise when he is walking. Landon is very proud of his little brother and whenever Gavin walks he yells, "Look he's walking!!" Gavin's personality is also coming out more and more. He is a determined little guy and cannot be easily distracted anymore from something he really wants. Landon is "helpful" in reporting to us anything Gavin is doing that he shouldn't be ;)

Easter Egg Hunt

On Thursday afternoon we took the boys to the American Women's Club Easter Egg Hunt. It was a beautiful day for it and they had a really good time. Landon liked checking out his loot with his buddy Natalie and even was brave enough to show the Easter Bunny what he got as well. ;) Gavin really liked sitting in the grass and just kept smiling and bouncing. It distracted him from the fact that he was not happy that we put shoes on his feet ;)

Springtime in Frankfurt

It was a beautiful weather weekend here in Frankfurt. The boys enjoyed being outside at the playground and kicking the soccer ball around. We're hoping for more days like this here as we spend our last month here in Germany!

Short-Timers

We have been busy here trying to prepare for our big move back to the U.S. in just under a month now. We made some progress this week as we bought a new car that will be ready for us when we get back and we just signed a lease for a townhouse as well. Not easy to do this all over the internet/phone...but it is done. Now for a million other little details. The movers come in just over 2 weeks!! Here are some pics of the boys and what they have been up to this past week. They love to wrestle and play together...usually pretty well, but not always. Gavin's favorite activities this week are clapping and walking with his tractor!

I think they must be brothers...

After taking the picture at top of Gavin the other day it reminded me of a similar photo of Landon at about the same age having a giggle fest playing peekaboo over the couch as well. There is no doubt that they are brothers, huh??
