Spring is coming...

Here are pics of Landon and his many modes of transport! He is still a bit short for the balance bicycle, but he likes his motorcycle (which he usually rides inside) and his tricycle. The last few pics are from this morning and it really is beginning to feel like Spring!! The flowers are blooming and the sun is out. Gavin even tried out the slide today and loved it!!

Big Boy Bed!!

Landon is now switched over to his toddler bed and really likes it! What a difference 8 months makes! (We tried this when he turned 2 and climbed out of his crib but he was not ready and would not stay in bed and would cry if we put him in it) He doesn't even get out of bed when he wakes up and he still calls for us. ;) We will see how long that lasts though!!

After his bath Landon usually requests some music be played so he can dance. Here are some pics of the boys dancing as well.

Gavin is 10 months old!

Here are some recent pics of our little man Gavin. He loves to smile and laugh as you can see from these pics. He is one happy little boy. When anyone meets him they always comment on how sweet he is as he always smiles and tilts his head to the side when he is greeted by anyone. He also loves to wave bye bye and he loves seeing his grandparents on Skype. He crawls everywhere (especially wherever his brother is) and likes to carry his toys in his mouth ;) His favorite toy for the past month has been his (well, actually Landon's) Mickey Mouse figure. He digs around until he finds it and carries it everywhere. That is why we decided that his first birthday will be Mickey Mouse themed!!

Playdates!!

I have been trying to take pictures at our playdates lately especially since we will be saying goodbye to our friends in just over a month. Here are pics of Landon and Gavin at different playdates with Luke, Leena and Natalie!

Music Together

The boys had their last Music class here in Germany this past week. So here are some pics from this past semester. It is sad that we will not have Music class for the rest of our time here but hopefully we will do it again when we get settled back in the States in the fall. Both of them like Music class and Gavin has really been getting into it. He bounces to the music as soon as he hears anything playing and loves the drums and listening to the teacher play the violin.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Landon and Gavin got into the spirit of the day and had a good time together! Landon loves holidays and doing crafts. His little leprechaun friend did everything with him that day ;)

The Boys' Big Adventure

Here are some random pics of the boys during our trip and right after we returned home.

Gotta take the trains everywhere!

Our new hats

We made it home!

The boys playing with their Turkish Airlines planes that the flight attendant gave them (Landon loved flying!) while breaking in our new Turkish carpet as soon as we took it out.

Underground Basilica Cistern

One day Landon and I took a trip to this cistern to check it out. (Dad was resting with Gavin in the hotel as he was struck by a stomach bug that started with Landon at the start of the trip. Mom and Gavin would be the next to get it the following day! What fun!!) This cistern was built in the 6th century and provided water to the city then known as Constantinople. Landon's favorite part were the fish in the water and he did not like the Medusa head at all. It was pretty down there with all of the lights and columns.

Grand Bazaar

Here is our shopping trip to the Grand Bazaar which is one of the world's largest covered shopping markets and has over 5000 shops and spans across 60 streets. It was also built in the 1400's and was a lot of fun to see. (for me at least!) You could easily spend all day in here and Istanbul has wonderful shopping. Not as cheap as our time in Southeast Asia but equally interesting. We got some nice pieces and some hats for the boys and did not spend all day here (much to the relief of all 3 guys!)
