Happy Father's Day!

The boys enjoyed helping to spoil Daddy on his special day. After we made him breakfast in bed they were anxious to give him his presents. We got him tickets for the family to go to a Pittsburgh Pirates game when we are in town in a few weeks. Landon insisted that we also needed to get him a Pirates tshirt for the game as well.

On Monday it was a bit rainy out so we broke out some of our crafts and we put together some foam rockets. The boys liked decorating them with all of the stickers and making the astronauts and robots to go inside. They have been racing them around ever since!

Last Soccer Practice

Landon had his last soccer practice of the season on Saturday. He really loves playing soccer and is always wanting to practice outside. He has done a really good job listening to his coach and working hard during practice. His coach even thanked him for being the best behaved student he had in the class and that he did a great job!

Celebrate Fairfax!

Last Friday we went to the fair at Celebrate Fairfax with our friends The Harts. Here are some pics of their adventures...

Landon loved the frog hopper - it went up high and bounced up and down,

Landon, Gavin, Bryson and Rhys dancing to Flavor Flav and hip hop music. They did this for about an hour and then it was time for the fireworks. Landon loved the fireworks, Gavin kept covering his ears and saying too noisy ;)

Carnival

On Sunday we took the boys to a little carnival at the local mall. They both had a really great time. Landon loved all of the rides and Gavin was not so sure about them but he did pretty well. They both loved the game where they caught sharks. Landon picked a shark stuffy and Gavin chose a snake. It was a fun evening topped with yummy chocolate covered frozen bananas!

Some Indoor Fun too

Landon has been enjoying his afternoon time with Mommy while Gavin is napping. Last week we worked on making this huge wooden dragon and he was very proud once it was finally finished! He also likes playing his preschool games and of course getting some IPad game time as well.



Here are all of the boys playing fireman one evening. They love pretending and Gavin does whatever his brother does. Gavin has been also talking a lot more the last few weeks and putting together short sentences as well. Unfortunately with turning 2 he has also started the lovely temper tantrum phase. He has had 2 meltdowns when out and about the past week. One was at the dr. for his checkup today...which I guess I can understand because it is intimidating but also at his gym class. Maybe he is just in his stranger anxiety phase. Hope it is not a long phase!

The Pool is Open!

Well pool season has started and we were able to go twice this past week.
