FREIBURG!!

We took a road trip this weekend for two days in Freiburg. It was great to go back and see that not a whole lot has changed...except for a couple of Starbucks moving into town! Ryan enjoyed showing Landon around his old school and favorite places. The weather was great and Landon travelled well. His highlight was checking out the cute baby that was in the mirror at the hotel ;)

Barbecue & Bubbles!

We had a beautiful holiday weekend here in Germany. On Saturday we enjoyed a lot of time outside. We broke in our new grill and Landon had a good time trying to catch the bubbles.

Animals

The weather has been pretty nice again lately and we have been going to the park everyday. Landon enjoys watching the birds, ducks and dogs there. We also have an insane amount of rabbits over here. We have about 10-12 baby bunnies right outside of Landon's bedroom window. There is a long story regarding the rabbits in our neighborhood. None of them hold a candle to his kitties though. He never grows tired of chasing them and squeals with excitement and makes the k sound whenever they enter the room.

Random pics...

Here are some pics of Landon from the past week. He sure is a bundle of energy! He is always on the go, even trying to escape after his bath time. He doesn't like to wait for diaper changes or getting clothes on when there is so much to get into!!

Mother's Day

We had a nice Mother's Day here in Germany. Landon and Daddy surprised Mommy with breakfast and gifts and then we enjoyed a nice day outside together. The weather has been rainy and cloudy lately, but fortunately it took a break on Mother's Day. Landon's bottom two teeth are still coming in ever so slowly. Some days they bother him more than others. They don't ever seem to slow him down though...he is always on the move!!

Discovering...

Landon had a fun time at the park yesterday. He realized that he could actually crawl off of the blanket and check out all of that green stuff. He wasn't sure about the taste but he liked to crawl around on it! All of the times we had gone to the park before he was not interested at all. He was content with his toys on the blanket. Well, the same is true at home...if he is awake, he wants to be crawling around on the floor discovering!!

RYAN'S BIRTHDAY

On Sunday before we headed home we went to see Schloss Nymphenburg, the summer residence of the Bavarian royal family. The palace was huge and had beautiful gardens everywhere. By this point Landon was ready to make the trek back home so that he could give his Dad his birthday gifts (and help him with the opening).

ENGLISH GARDENS

We took a break to head back to the hotel so that Landon could get a nap in (after a good effort we realized that was not going to happen, as he was crawling over us, picking our noses and giggling) We headed back out for a walk through the English Gardens which was beautiful and larger than Central Park. We stopped at a beer garden and Landon had reached his limit...however he slept for only about 15 minutes and then was ready for more!

WALKING TOUR OF MUNICH

We enjoyed walking through the city and checking out all of the sights. Lots of great architecture and beautiful churches.

MUNICH TRIP!!

We took a road trip to Munich this past weekend as it was a holiday weekend here in Germany and Ryan's bday. One of our favorite stops was at the famous Hofbrauhaus! Ryan has been here before, but this time was a bit more tame I'm sure ;) In order to avoid the rowdy crowds, we headed in first thing in the morning. People were already starting to file in for their morning brew. The building was interesting and the beer was tasty!
