Christmas Tree Craft

The theme of the month was lots of cookie and craft making as you can tell from these posts. Here are the boys making their Christmas tree crafts to put in their bedrooms.

Rudolph Cookies!

I had some little helpers who were super excited to help put the decorations on our Rudolph cookies that we made this year. There was of course lots of taste testing along the way...

Trimming the Tree

We had a fun time decorating the tree with all of our ornaments with special memories over the last several years. They were both on a mission to fill the tree (well the bottom third at least!) And they love taking turns blowing on Santa's candle to turn the lights on and off!

Christmas Tree Picking!

The boys had a lot of fun running around looking at all of the Christmas trees earlier this month and finding the perfect one.

And they are off...

Hiding from Mommy and Daddy

This is the tree!!!

Now Gavin can go do what he really wanted to be doing...saying hi to the chickens and pig. Landon came by as well, long enough to stress out about how close Gavin was to the animals (not that close ;))

The Russell boys unloading the tree

Rudolph Craft

Here are some pics of the boys getting their signs ready for their bedroom doors. They say Rudolph Stop Here!

Santa Express Train

At the beginning of the month we kicked off our Christmas activities by going to Strasburg Railroad to ride the Santa Express Train. The Reisinger's joined in the fun with us! Gavin was not sure about the big guy and therefore that is why he is slowly trying to slink away while Landon is trying to hold him up.

Got a cute gift from Santa!

Taking the hand trolley for a spin!

Back at Zachary and Madison's and watching The Grinch. One of about 30 viewings this month. Definitely a favorite this year!

The Good, the bad, the ugly...

Here are some outtakes of our photo session in an attempt to get Christmas card photos...

Not starting off well...Gavin freaked out when he was asked to wear his sweater vest (nothing an animal cookie couldn't fix)

Stalling...

It begins...

Not bad

Now time to be goofy...

It's contagious!

Restart...someone is not cooperating

Daddy is funny!

Let the Christmas Season begin!!

We took the boys to Light Up Fairfax to see the tree and visit with Santa. Picture quality is poor because I used my phone...

They both said they did not want to sit on Santa's lap but after their friends Bryson and Rhys sat down ahead of them they both went willingly.

Landon asked for a flying train (???) and Gavin asked for a treat as he had already spotted the candy canes.

Light up time!

I had two little elf helpers assisting me with digging out the Christmas decorations.
